The 2nd Jerusalem Summer School in Economic Growth, organized by the Minerva Center for Economic Growth, (http://atar.mscc.huji.ac.il/~melchior/home-1.htm) will be held in Jerusalem, Israel, between June 27th and July 1st, 2011. The summer school will provide graduate students and young researchers with the opportunity to learn from and interact with world-leading economists in the field of economic growth. We will expose students to frontier research in economic growth and encourage participants to present their own work. As in the 1st summer school in 2008, there will be a relaxed atmosphere and ample time for informal discussion among the participants. We will also go on tours in Jerusalem and to the Dead Sea.

Registration and Fees

To register, applicants should send an email to Ms. Lee Caspi at: leeca@savion.huji.ac.il and cc Hosny Zoabi at hosnyz@post.tau.ac.il and Moshe Hazan at moshe.hazan@huji.ac.il along with their CV. Registration deadline is April 1st. There will be a registration fee of 300 dollars (225 Euros). Applicants with financial difficulties may request a waiver. Participants are expected to pay for their airfare and accommodation in Jerusalem, while the Minerva Center will cover local expenses, such as lunch, coffee, etc. and the tours in Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. The Minerva Center will also offer limited financial assistance based on academic merit. To be considered for financial support, applicants should enclose a letter of recommendation from their advisor or a senior researcher.
